Go Take a Hike

So, we bought a home in Providence Canyon.  It's beautiful.  Not only that, there are beautiful places to spend time.  I went on a 4 mile hike all by myself without having to drive anywhere.  Just walked out the back door.  I loved it.  Here are some photos I took:

The view from up here is amazing.

I thought I'd spend all my time looking up at the mountain, but then I realized there were small beauties all around me.  Isn't that how life is?  You work and work for the big, but the small is even more breath-taking?

After I took his photo a few times, he followed me.  I'm guessing that, like my children, he wanted to see the photo.

So bright!

The trail ahead of me.  The fence is supposed to keep deer from coming down into our yard.  Ha ha.  Doesn't work.  That's OK, though.

Higher up I could see more of the valley below.

"Give," said the little stream...

This fella was sipping water out of the paw prints that had filled during a rainstorm.  So majestic.

Family Photos

As I mentioned before, we had some family photos done prior to Amy Lu's mission departure.  They're cute.  I still want one where all my kids are smiling (Krista!  We need you!), but I love the background and colors we used.  Enjoy!  :)

The whole Tueller family, aunts and uncles included.
Those Tueller kids, all grown up.  :)
Denying the source of their existence.  ;)

Our little piece of heaven--our family.

I'm convinced that Quin looks like Vizzini from Princess Bride (the movie, in the book, you may use your own imagination).

Smiling...but looking in all directions.  I suppose it's at least realistic!

My sweet husband and I.  Eleven years of marriage this summer, by the way.

Stephen and all of his loving sisters...

How they really are.

She should go to jail

Chayce smashed Payge's finger in a door tonight and it looked pretty bad. Fortunately she is still flexible in the spots that would have broken on an older child, with no permanent tendon or nerve damage, just bleeding and swelling. On the way back from the ER, I told Payge to let Jillian Louise Browning Tueller, I, and the offending sister help her out until she healed. She replied "you mean before Chayce goes to jail?" I asked "do you think Chayce should go to jail?" to which she replied "yes! she should go to jail, she hurt my finger!!"

Jillian indicated remorse on Chaye's part while we were gone, and that she said she didn't know a door could do that to a finger. We were blessed this time, and hopefully they're more careful with doors, especially when chasing each other through the house.

New back yard

Here's a picture of the view from the undeveloped bench just behind our new house. Chayce is way out ahead of us trying to scale the mountain. I told here we'd go back when those less interested in going to the top weren't with us.

Yellow, yellow...

We decided to have a large Tueller family photo shoot before the youngest of L&Ls daughters left for her LDS mission.  Below are some candids I caught while people were waiting for their turn.

Love family time!!

We're Still Alive!

We're not dead...we've just been living.
